Shahada(Faith)- belief in the oneness of God and the acceptance of Muhammad as God's prophet
Salat(Prayer)- the ritual prayer of Muslims, performed five times daily in a set form
Zakat(Charity)- giving 2.5% of one’s savings to the poor and need
Sawm(Fasting)- fasting and self-control during the holy month of Ramadan
Hajj(Pilgrimage)- the pilgrimage to mecca in ones lifetime if able
Purpose of life
Most Muslims say that they were created to know and worship God
The Quran teaches us that every human being is born conscious of God
“(Remember) when your Lord extracted from the loins of Adam’s children their descendants and made them testify [saying]: ‘Am I not your Lord?’ They said: ‘Yes, we testify to it.’ (This was) in case you say on the Day of Judgment: ‘We were unaware of this.’ Or you say: ‘It was our ancestors who worshipped others besides God and we are only their descendants. Will you then destroy us for what those liars did?’”(Quran 7:172-173)
Main beliefs
Afterlife- Muslimbelieve there will be a day of judgment when all humans will be divided between the eternal destinations of Paradise and Hell.
Day of Judgement-The day of judgment is described as passing over Hell on a narrow bridge in order to enter Paradise. Those who fall, weighted by their bad deeds, will remain in Hell forever.

Paradise(The Garden)- Is a place of physical and spiritual pleasure, with lofty mansions, delicious food and drink, and virgin companions called houris.
Hell- 7 doors leading to a fiery crater of various levels, the lowest which contains the tree Zaqqum and a cauldron of boiling pitch. The level of hell depends on the degree of offenses.
